Job Summary: To manage, direct, and coordinate scrap production at a metals recycling scrap yardin order to achieve production output, and profit objectives consistent with quality customer service and safety and corporate goals.This position is responsible for the overall management, profitability, and production. This position has direct responsibility for providing high quality scrap in order to obtain scrap goals aligned with the Company's strategic objectives.
Nature and Scope: The incumbent has the responsibility to support and enhance the division's sales policies, procedures, practices, to ensure the desired results consistent with profitability objectives, and existing market conditions. Maintain safe working conditions and insure that employees follow safe working standards. Participates in safety meetings and follows up on all matters related to safety. Ensures that Company policies relating to all employees are being implemented on a fair and consistent basis and that good employee relation practices are being maintained. Analyzes the overall coordination of all departments to ensure the smooth flow of work through the location. Reviews the operations of the location to ensure that orders are being processed to meet customer requirements. Analyzes all cost, financial and operating reports to ensure that department objectives are being met. Reviews the performance and results of the staff under responsibility area to ensure efficient and accurate functioning of these areas.
