Job Description
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an experienced Program Manager in the Washington, D.C. area to lead a large IT federal health program for the Department of Defense. The Program Manager will responsible for leading a staff of remote and onsite workers who provide an integrated set of managed services including IaaS, FaaS, DCaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. The PM will coordinate closely with our government customer to meet their mission goals; and will prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic environment. The PM will also seek and support opportunities for growth within and outside of the program. As a Program Manager, you will:

A week in the life of the Program Manager:
- Ensure that program objectives and activities align with customer priorities.
- Manage interdependencies between projects and assign priorities accordingly.
- Ensure team leads, project managers, and other team members have the necessary resources and support.
- Facilitate and promote communication and collaboration across teams.
- Actively engage as line manager for a small group of Team Leaders.
- Provide support, prioritization, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Engage with onboarding and offboarding of program staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and Government stakeholders to include functional, technical, and Government Contracts stakeholders.
- Communicate program status, risks, and successes to stakeholders.
- Meet face-to-face with customers and program stakeholders in DMV area as needed.
- Work closely with the Senior Financial Analyst to manage the program budget and financials.
- Allocate human resources and program assets efficiently to ensure project success.
- Seek out and report on opportunities to sustain and grow the business. Contribute to data calls, proposals, and other business development activities.

This is a high visibility role responsible for converting strategic goals into actionable projects and positive outcomes for our government customer and the company.
Job Requirements
- Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with all levels of the program. Ability to quickly and effectively respond to program stakeholder data calls, questions, and concerns.
- Technology: Experience with current and emerging information technology including network engineering, cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, and enterprise architecture.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly recognize and respond to changing customer needs, condition of virtual and physical environments, and team composition and focus.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively to capture and report on multiple projects, people, tasks, and priorities simultaneously.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Experience managing IT-related government contracts. Understand requirements, deliverables, funding, budget, burn rate, revenue, and profitability.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in managing IT projects, including at least 10 years of technical leadership; minimum 5 years of IT program management experience.
- PMI PMP Certification
- Familiarity with ITIL service delivery framework.
- BS degree in IT, computer science, or MIS. Equivalent knowledge and experience will be considered in lieu of this kind of degree.
- Ability to effectively manage a virtual team.
- Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) system certification and accreditation process.
- Understanding of systems engineering and the various aspects of IT; cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code (IAC), network engineering, change management, asset management, cybersecurity, software development, Cloud, etc.
- Ability to compose white papers, cost estimates, and data call responses.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
