Job Description

The Student Affairs Office at the School of Medicine is seeking an experienced Senior Office Support Assistant to assist the Office of Student Affairs with a variety of duties.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with planning of school of Medicine events and ceremonies including:
    • White Coat Ceremony
    • Match Day
    • Hooding Ceremony
    • Summer Orientation / Incoming Student events
    • Class meetings & orientation
    • Training events
  • Compliance tracking
    • Training completion and/or progress
    • Immunization Status
    • Background check processing / completion
  • Assist with academic support duties
    • Confirm student eligibility
    • verify majors, enter exam scores, ensure enrollment and assignment accuracy
    • Assist with the creation of the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
  • Conduct web research, gather data, and create reports for special projects assigned by to Student Affairs.
  • Assist with office support
    • Office space management
    • Tracking of keys and space options for students
    • Fee Monitoring
    • Assist with student communication as needed
  • Other areas of support as needed or assigned
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Two to five years of related experience in business administration, personnel administration, higher education administration, public relations or a related field is highly desirable.

The selected candidate needs to possess organization skills, be a problem-solver, and have great follow-through. They also need to be able to build effective working relationships with School of Medicine departments, University departments, and external constituents

Anticipated Hiring Range

$16.72 - $18.28 per hour, commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
