We are seeking a Sales Specialist to join our New England sales team. The territory includes most of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London Counties in Connecticut. You will cover all of KI's core markets including Higher Ed, K-12, Commercial, Healthcare, State and Local, and will call on End User Clients, Architects and Designers, Dealers, General Contractors, and Real Estate Developers. You will work from your home office in this role and have accessibility to our showroom in Boston or New York City for various meetings and client interactions. This position includes a salary of approximately $90,000 with commission paid from the first dollar sold.

Responsibilities



  • Identify, advance, and close sales opportunities.
  • Represent the brand in a consistent manner by offering expertise in client space applications and KI solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with Architects and Designers, clients, influencers, strategic partners and potential targets to create new leads and drive sales.
  • Facilitate "lunch and learns" with clients.
  • Conduct CEU events.
  • Maintain all sales related activity in SFDC ensuring pipeline is accurate, complete and current.
  • Participate in various community activities and key industry groups to promote sales leads and company brand recognition.



What you Need to Succeed



  • Previous sales or design experience in furniture, or related industry, preferred.
  • Existing relationships with architects, designers, and end users is helpful.
  • Must be able to haul sales samples.
  • Proficiency in CRM technology.
