Role Summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Tax & Accounting AI Content Analyst Tax to join our AI Editorial Team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for practitioners to learn about the cutting edge of AI and tax technology and influence their transformative effect on the tax industry.

About the Role

In this role as a Tax & Accounting AI Content Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to support product enhancements and initiatives related to AI and tax technology solutions.
  • Design and facilitate content experiments, including evaluation metrics and success criteria.
  • Assist in the testing and validation of generative AI technology for tax and accounting industry applications and analyze grading data to suggest performance improvements.
  • Develop prompts to instruct and improve the performance of large language models.
  • Contribute to understanding our customers' pain points and goals to help articulate value propositions.
  • Support the development of advanced use cases for tax and accounting professionals utilizing our AI platform.
  • Provide feedback on the performance of our tax and accounting Gen AI solutions to our team of engineers and data scientists.
  • Assist senior team members in client engagements, supporting Enterprise clients.
  • Provide support to other Thomson Reuters divisions and teams on select projects.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Tax & Accounting AI Content Analyst if you possess these attributes:

Preferred qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited institution and licensed to practice law or CPA.
  • 2+ years of tax practice experience in a CPA firm. Experience in tax planning advisory services is a plus.
  • Computer proficient with strong understanding in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Experience using a variety of online tax research and software tools (e.g. Checkpoint, CCH, BNA, UltraTax, etc.).
  • Experience with prompt engineering is an asset / plus.
  • Experience using large language models through code is preferred (such as model services from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Cohere; and/or open source models such as Llama and Mistral)
  • Some experience with programming language (e.g. Python).

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $70,500 - $130,900. Chicago, IL; Frisco, TX; Houston, TX; fully remote location. For these locations and any eligible US locations not otherwise noted, including for fully remote location if applicable, the base compensation range for this role is $74,200 - $137,800. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
