ABOUT THE JOB

Provides support for a variety of quality assurance programs related to food safety, product safety, product quality, facility and employee compliance, oversight of product quality record keeping, development and maintenance of technical documentation, quality oversight of inventory, and other programs. Support QC with raw material COA review, approval, and release. Maintains and creates SOP's, provides training, and conducts audits to assist with development and improvement of the quality management system. Assist with preparing facility for customer and third-party audits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Writes and reviews SOP's and other quality system documentation; prepares and maintains
    technical documentation in support of QA programs.
  • Conducts internal audits of the facility to assure standards are met, and to identify deficiencies;
    completes audit follow-up to assure effectiveness of improvements.
  • Assist with development and delivery of training on quality related topics.
  • Provide support for review of batch records, cleaning records, conducting line clearances, and
    other production support.
  • Perform and/or facilitate third party product testing on raw materials, in-process and final
    product.
  • Apply all product quality and safety standards as well as report any product safety incidents to
    the Supervisor, Manager, or designated back-up (applicable to positions working in
    accordance with specific plant or company certifications).
  • Support investigation processes and leads investigations as necessary.
  • Provide disposition for the receipt, inspection, and release of raw, in - process, finished
    product, packaging materials and processing aids.


ABOUT YOU



  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred (ISO, SQF, FAMI-Q5, IPEC, GMP, cGMP, etc.)
  • Experience with analytical test methodology and the ability to analyze and interpret results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications - Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Problem solving, trouble shooting, time management and organization skills
  • Ability to communicate well with all disciplines and levels at the facility and corporate.

    No travel required.

    Expected Compensation: $28-$33/hourly+ 5% Bonus Eligibility
