The Superintendent is directly responsible for all aspects of daily maintenance operations for Recreation facilities on campus including, but not limited to, LionTree Arena, RIMAC, RIMAC Annex, Canyonview Aquatic Center, Natatorium Pool, Spanos Training Facility, NCRA Track and Field Stadium, Triton Ballpark, Warren ATR, Outdoor Courts, and Playing Fields. This position also participates in inspections of Main Gym Complex. The Superintendent is responsible for the supervision of a variety of skilled and semi-skilled positions in building maintenance. The Superintendent directly supervises one Lead Maintenance Mechanic, one Lead Systems Operator, one Lead Plumber, one Lead Aquatics Maintenance Mechanic, one Aquatics Maintenance Mechanic one Maintenance Mechanic, and two Lead Building Maintenance Workers. The Superintendent coordinates contract services to ensure timely response to Recreation service needs and emergency situations. Meets with internal customers to coordinate regular maintenance and initiate special requests. Consults with supervisor on renovation and alteration projects taking place in assigned buildings, fields and outlying areas. Plans, schedules and coordinates aspects of projects prior to building occupancy. The Superintendent acts as a technical advisor for special projects when required. Manages annual budget allocation and expenditures. Assigns work to designated staff and conducts weekly inspections of areas to maintain standards and correct potential safety hazards. The Superintendent is responsible for inspection, maintenance, repair and inventory of building tools and equipment. Participates in policy setting processes and decision making. The Superintendent oversees and coordinates assignment of all area work submitted through Work Orders. The Superintendent manages a variety of data and records to accurately account for labor, materials, tools, equipment and rolling stock as needed. Investigates inconsistencies and determines appropriate fixes to maintain data and ensure integrity of records. Works closely with appropriate Department personnel and outside vendors to ensure that work is completed to maximum customer satisfaction. The Superintendent conducts facility inspections, monitors facility usage, and maintains strong communication with Recreation Department staff. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
