We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Operations and Maintenance team at . This role involves maintaining, repairing, and optimizing a range of HVAC systems, including fan coil units, chillers, and conventional split systems, to ensure a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment for students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in campus facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

System Maintenance & Repair:
*Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fan coil units, chillers, split systems, and other HVAC equipment.
*Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in HVAC systems.

System Optimization & Compliance:
*Optimize system performance to achieve energy efficiency and meet university sustainability goals.
*Ensure HVAC systems comply with safety and operational standards, codes, and university policies.

Emergency Response:
*Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies during regular shifts and while on-call.

Documentation & Communication:
*Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to log maintenance tasks, generate work orders, and maintain equipment history records.
*Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and campus departments to ensure seamless operations.

Inventory & Equipment Management:
*Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools for timely repairs.
*Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements as necessary.

Qualifications:
*High school diploma or GED; technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
*Minimum of 3 years' experience in HVAC system maintenance and repair, especially with fan coil units, and split systems.
*Valid EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
*Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
*Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
*Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and operate tools safely.

Work Environment:
*Full-time position with occasional after-hours and weekend work as needed.
*Predominantly campus-based, with work conducted in classrooms, labs, dormitories, and mechanical rooms.
