Job Title: Engineering Technician/Engineer

About the Role:

Advantage Technical is seeking an Engineering Technician or Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to support assemblies and sub-assemblies for new products. This role is with our client, a contract firm for a leading motorcycle manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Automotive PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and AutoCAD, along with experience addressing floor-level engineering issues.

Location & Shift:



  • Shift: 3rd Shift, Monday to Thursday, 7:15 PM - 6:30 AM.
  • Schedule: Enjoy Fridays off!


Required Experience:



  • Proficiency in Automotive PFMEAs and process flow diagrams.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and creating/updating 2D plant cell layouts.
  • Experience conducting Elemental Time Studies.
  • Knowledge of SOPs, workflows, fixing production floor issues (e.g., cells), and reading blueprints.
  • Administrative engineering work, including documentation and updates.


Key Responsibilities:




  1. PFMEA Development and Updates:



    • Write and update PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to proactively identify and address potential failures.
    • Evaluate components, assemblies, and subsystems to assign risk priority numbers and prioritize corrective actions.



  2. AutoCAD and Documentation:



    • Utilize AutoCAD to update process flow diagrams, 2D layouts, and other documentation as needed.
    • Perform administrative engineering tasks, including documentation management and updates.



  3. Floor Support:



    • Address and resolve basic hardware issues on the production floor.
    • Troubleshoot and improve workflows within production cells.



  4. Collaboration and Communication:



    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure process improvements align with production goals.




Qualifications:



  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in engineering or technical roles.
  • Proficiency in PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with production environments, SOPs, and workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve floor-level issues.
  • Detail-oriented and skilled in documentation and administrative tasks.
