Description

Are you passionate about helping children thrive and ensuring all kids have the support they need to succeed? Join our team as an Inclusion Technician, where you'll play a vital role in helping children reach their full potential through individualized behavior and inclusion support.

As an Inclusion Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of children in our Early Learning Center and School Age Programs. By implementing behavior and inclusion plans tailored to individual children, you will help ensure that every child can reach their full potential. Your daily responsibilities will include providing direct support for youth programming, monitoring behavior, documenting and communicating observations, and collaborating with team members. You will also model expectations, teach social and emotional skills, and support the implementation of social-emotional curricula. In this role, you will foster a positive and inclusive environment by incorporating appropriate modifications and accommodations and encouraging growth for both students and staff.

To thrive in this role, you bring:



  • Experience working with vulnerable populations and individuals with diverse abilities.
  • A proven track record of implementing behavior plans in educational or recreational settings.
  • An understanding of strategies and approaches to social-emotional learning and the ability to implement best practices with a flexible teaching style.
  • The ability to identify and understand the causes and motivations behind child behavior and sound judgment when responding to unexpected situations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1-2 year's experience working directly with youth promoting an inclusive environment and implementing social-emotional development
  • An Associates' degree in Human Services, Special Education, or a related field of study preferred but not required
  • The Early Learning position hours are from 10am to 3pm and the School Age position hours are 2pm to 6pm.


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must provide and maintain all documents and certifications as required by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care
  • Must complete all training/certifications and program orientation under the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and the YMCA of the North Shore
