As the Senior Manager - Product Marketing, you will be responsible for building the product marketing expertise for a growing SaaS company. You have demonstrated expertise in all areas of product marketing – product positioning, messaging, customer & competitive intelligence, and enablement- and are excited to demonstrate the fundamental value product marketing has on a company achieving its strategic objectives. You love to live at the intersection of product, marketing and sales and thrive in an agile environment. You have demonstrated the ability to drive cross-functional alignment, executive presence and strong business acumen.
What You Will Do
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify market opportunities, trends, and insights, informing product positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies.
- Messaging and Positioning: Develop compelling value propositions, messaging frameworks, and positioning strategies that effectively differentiate our products in the market and resonate with target audiences and differentiate from competitors.
- Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback, market data, and performance metrics to continuously refine and optimize product marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Sales Enablement: Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and deliver sales enablement programs, tools, and training materials that equip the sales team with the knowledge and resources needed to effectively sell our products.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature releases, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, client success, and marketing. Support growth marketing to develop and execute campaigns to drive new client acquisition and customer lifecycle marketing.
- Product Strategy: Leveraging marketing and customer intelligence provide input to the product management roadmap to support product adoption, revenue growth, and market penetration.
- Content Strategy: In partnership with communications and growth marketing, drive the development of high-impact marketing collateral, sales enablement materials, and content assets (e.g., whitepapers, case studies, product videos) that support the buyer's journey and drive customer engagement and conversion.
- Performance measurement: Measure and report on the effectiveness and impact of product marketing initiatives and campaigns, Developing KPIs and leading indicators to adjust accordingly.
- Product Reports: Lead the development of special reports to engage executives as part of the product offering.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or related roles, including 2+ years’ experience in the software industry, with a strong preference for SaaS experience.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and marketing enterprise software products, driving customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, market dynamics, and competitive landscape strongly preferred.
- Experience in supply chain risk management, or adjacent domains, strong preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies and plans.
- Outstanding communication, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas clearly and compellingly.
- Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources such as customer insights, market trends, sales data, and marketing metrics. Comfort working with analytics tools and interpreting data to make informed decisions.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and deriving actionable insights, including statistical analysis, forecasting, ROI analysis, and other quantitative techniques to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and drive strategic decisions.
