Job Description RTE (Ready to Eat) Room Leader at a glance... Compensation Overview: Starting rate $21.00 per hour! Work Schedule:

5:15am - 3:45pm (Monday - Thursday)

*Overtime may be required as needed*

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking an RTE Room Leader to work at our facility in Newberry, SC. Ideal candidates must be motivated to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced environment. This position requires individuals to perform duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.

Job Overview:

Individual will work closely with the Production Supervisor to lead all aspects of day-to-day operations including area issues, training, management of hourly personnel, and always ensuring employee and food safety. Will also demonstrate performing all jobs in assigned areas and basic machine operator tasks for purposes of instructing/illustrating, and troubleshooting. Ensure pre-start up, during shift, and end of shift tasks are completed at required frequencies as described in Standard Work. Accurately complete all paperwork/computer work, to include calculating yields, utilization, tickets, collecting and processing labor data, requisitioning supplies and other materials needed, and completing safety audits, work requests, compliance documentation, etc. Communicate effectively, using good English oral and written communications skills with peers, hourly, plant leadership, Sanitation, Maintenance and USDA personnel to communicate policies, identify and address mechanical, quality and other regulatory issues. Use problem solving skills to improve the process to reduce and/or eliminate recurring issues.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Be interpersonally savvy, with the ability to work well with team members, engage, and mentor employees.
  • Work with little supervision and be a quick learner and able to work in a high stress environment.
  • Possess attention to detail with effective documentation skills to include accurate paper (including all KHMS/ operational forms) and computer data entry.
  • Initiate Corrective / Preventive Actions as needed.
  • Lead/participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) to report action items that need immediate attention and create timely reports.
  • Physically perform the basic life operational functions such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and etc.
  • Make quick and sound decisions in the absence of the supervisor or operator to achieve schedules, maintain costs at/below standard, and implement changes needed to improve operation.
  • Be able to troubleshoot machinery, use mechanical tools and perform basic mechanical task.
  • Understand KHMS.
  • Able to understand and perform centerlines on equipment, CIL, 5s, defect handling cards and performance boards.
  • Understand daily problem handling and escalation process.
  • Report all issues and wins in Level 1 meeting and conduct shift hand off for next shift.
  • Maintain certification as an Authorized LOTO employee.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.

Have basic computer knowledge, ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.
