Job Title: Manufacturing Summer Intern (2025)Reporting Shift: Monday - Friday (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) 30 minutes Paid LunchCompensation: Hourly Compensation $16.50 / Weekly Pay
Position Summary

Specialty Silicone Products, Inc. is actively seeking some highly motivated Interns for our engineering, and manufacturing projects for our Summer 2025 program. The Intern will be responsible for assisting teams in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of the department's projects. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of SSP's products. The role will focus on the successful completion of technical projects, process improvement, documentation, and presentation of results at the end of the program.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of all SSP products
  • Work with senior level management to interpret and analyze data
  • Ability to independently set up experiments and monitor progress
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Hands on experience on plant floor and manufacturing facility in the areas of troubleshooting techniques and engineering design
  • Ability to critically analyze data in terms of system performance and reliability
  • Represent SSP in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in related field or equivalent and have completed at least two full years prior to start of the internship
  • Prior Internship or Co-op experience preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Must be driven and self-motivated
  • Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality
