Pay Rate/Range: The budgeted hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $24.59 to $28.56/hr. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience; the budget for the position; and the application of fair, equitable, and consistent pay practices at the University. The full salary range for this position is $24.59 to $34.85/hr.

Working Days and Hours: M-TH; 4.25 hours per day within 8AM-5PM. Some weekends.

Brief Summary of Job Duties:
The SciTrek research admin assistant supports the SciTrek team by assisting with administrative aspects of the SciTrek program. This includes but is not limited to: tracking and maintaining inventory levels, creating and distributing flyers and other education materials in collaborating with the SciTrek team, scheduling meetings and communicating with external partners, and maintaining SciTrek's digital documents and files.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in administrative support, office management, or similar roles.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana and Trello.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic knowledge of digital file management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience working in an academic, research, or scientific environment.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or training.
- 1-3 years of experience in preparing educational materials or training resources.
- Strong organization skills and attention to details.
- Strong word processing skills, experience with Excel spreadsheets and data entry.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to establishing cooperative working relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, time management.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet a variety of deadlines and service level expectations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a group.

Job Functions and Percentages of Time:
- 45% Administrative Support - Assists with tracking inventory levels and helps order lab supplies for program needs. Supports the creation, preparation, and distribution of SciTrek seminar flyers, educational materials, and other resources to ensure materials are ready and distributed in a timely manner. Assists with other administrative tasks as needed.
- 30% Meeting Scheduling and Communication - Coordinates and schedules meetings and seminars with internal SciTrek team members and external partners. Provides timely and professional communication between SciTrek and external partners by creating, sending, and tracking emails, reminders, meeting invitations and meeting agendas.
- 25% Digital File and Document Management - Organizes, maintains, and updates electronic files, records, and documentation. Ensure files are easily accessible by properly storing, labeling, and backing up digital files in the SciTrek database.
