Assessment Center Director - Online Learning (Part-Time)

Primary Function:

Lipscomb University's CORE Assessment Center program is nationally recognized as the first to use the Polaris Competency Model to award academic credit.

The Assessment Center Director is responsible for overseeing the CORE Assessment Center program, which includes administering assessment centers, managing assessors, managing all center logistics, and teaching the academic course that includes the CORE Assessment Center.

The Assessment Center Director will gain certification in the Polaris Competency Model as an Assessor and Administrator.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of organization and planning skills and the ability to problem-solve and make thoughtful decisions. Because the Director of Assessment engages with various constituents (students, assessors, corporate partners, etc.) they must have strong written/verbal communication skills, build meaningful relationships, be self-motivated, and work collaboratively.

Ongoing Tasks:



  • Lead CORE Assessment Centers and Data Integration

    • Follow international Assessment Center Guidelines
    • Follow scoring procedures and guidelines
    • Communicate assessment processes for students and assessors


  • Logistical management of CORE Assessment Centers (could potentially be done by a high-functioning graduate assistant)

    • Schedule assessment center participants and assessors
    • Prepare students and assessors for the assessment center
    • Prepare all necessary materials for physical and remote centers
    • Create student competency reports and transcription forms
    • Maintain student/assessor documents and records
    • Award Digital badges to students


  • Assessor Management

    • Select, hire, and train assessors.
    • Manage assessor compensation and contracts.
    • Provide feedback and professional development.

    Education



    • Master's or doctoral degree in education, psychology, business, or related fields.
    • Minimum five (5) years professional experience.
    • Experience in counseling, testing, performance coaching, education, business, or HR management preferred.


    Additional Requirements/Information



    • Position part-time
    • Combination of remote and in-office location in Nashville, TN.
    • Required availability from 7:30 AM to 5PM on two consecutive weekdays on weeks when assessment centers take place.


    Application & Selection Process

    • Observe portion of CORE Assessment.
    • Interviews with Director of Assessment and Engagement and key leadership team members.
    • Competency analysis utilizing multiple behavioral assessments.

    Qualifications
    Education
    Doctorate (preferred)
    Masters (required)
    Experience
    Minimum five (5) years professional experience.
    Experience in counseling, testing, performance coaching, education, business, or HR management preferred.
