PRN / Per Diem Social Worker Opportunity!

Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Philadelphia area for more than 40 years. The Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial assessment needs while enabling them to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. This includes providing basic consultations, teaching, and specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care. Crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, group therapy, the facilitation of interagency meetings, treatment planning, & discharge planning and the provision of referral information is also provided by Social Workers.

Qualifications

Masters Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years in a psychiatric health care facility or equivalent, with direct experience in individual, family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Additional Requirements: Must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Successful completion of CPR/AED training and successful completion of Crisis Prevention (CPI) training including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint required prior to assisting in the procedures including restraint and seclusion policies within thirty )30) days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures. May be required necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his or her assigned program. The individual must demonstrate knowledge f the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific need
