Cape Fox is seeking a Housing Manager in beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska to work from April 1 through October 31. The Housing Manager for Cape Fox Commercial Services is responsible for handling the daily operations of Cape Fox housing facilities (Stedman and Trident buildings). The Housing Manager responds to and handles tenant needs and requests. The House Manager oversees and manages daily occurrences and issues that arise around the properties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Follow budget for area of responsibility, including staffing, maintenance, supplies, furniture, and other housing equipment.
  • Identify operational issues, investigate causes, and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Communicate room assignments and transfers
  • Communicate maintenance needs for all buildings, units, and grounds.
  • Investigate and responds to requests or concerns from residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor conduct of residents to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and lease; maintain written records, and report occupancy violations, disturbances, and other infractions.
  • Check in all tenants which includes completing orientation of rules, sign off on documentation (housing agreements), assigning rooms, and distributing room keys.
  • Check out tenants and notify management if someone breaks their lease early etc.
  • Identify potential conflicts between tenants, and use proper documentation to record "ifs, when's" etc. as they occur
  • Conduct routine walk-throughs of bedrooms, common rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry facilities for cleanliness.
  • Ensure that cleaning is completed in the common areas, kitchen, restrooms, hallways/stairways, and laundry facilities.
  • Handle conflict with the upmost professionalism and maintain maturity during situations.
  • Adhere to the safety protocol should injury occur on premise
