Marine Specialist

Your main responsibilities

  • Perform annual certification visit on board the vessel according to Naval register and Schindler Marine rules, maintenance, CPSI, call-backs, repairs and small modernizations on customer's elevator and escalator equipment in an efficient, effective and professional manner to provide outstanding customer service following the security rules.
  • Perform all service, call-backs, repairs, and small modernizations on customer's equipment in an efficient, effective, and professional manner to provide outstanding customer service following the security rules.
  • Be available for marine service coverage during regular work hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work in a cooperative and sharing manner with other technicians to provide the highest overall customer satisfaction for the Marine Unit
  • Keep the customer informed through marine job report regarding the condition of his equipment, preventive and corrective repairs, and discretionary repairs or modernizations after service visits onboard.
  • Comply with all safety policies and requirements of Schindler and the customer.
  • Complete all required data inputs in a diligent and honest fashion; these include time reporting, parts usage, call back reporting, maintenance performance and repair, and modernization work reports

What you bring

  • High school education or equivalent
  • 2-5 year working experience as mechanic and troubleshooter, other elevator industry certifications or training preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel and spend days onboard cruise ships performing work duties.



This position is hourly, non-exempt, and eligible for overtime after 40 hours worked per week. While we prefer candidates based in Florida, we are open to applicants from other U.S. locations.
