About the College/Unit/Department
In 2018, The UGA Tifton Campus began a yearlong Centennial celebration with various events to commemorate its 100th anniversary of providing updated research to the community.
Research is done on a wide range of commodities, including cotton, peanuts, vegetables and turf grass, all of which make agriculture the No. 1 industry in Georgia.
In 2004, a teaching program was initiated and it has been growing ever since. College-level instruction on campus is aimed at undergraduate and graduate-degree level study.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree is preferred; however, will consider an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience in Business Management.
Position Summary
Incumbent will prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, terminations, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software. This includes training new employees on the OneUSG Connect system and providing guidance to supervisors and employees. This position will review payroll reports for all payrolls ensuring accuracy and monitor temporary employees for potential ACA violations. They will also run system reports to make sure that inactive employees are terminated and will monitor the invalid funding report for each pay period, requesting combo codes for new accounts, as needed.

This position also calls for providing backup assistance during the absence of other business support staff, as needed. They will assist team leads with the training of other business support staff and will serve as a p-card approver, ensuring policies are followed and all required forms are attached in Works.
