Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $27.21 - Midpoint: $35.35 (Hourly N9)

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5.00pm; limited after hours

Job Summary: The RN I provides professional nursing care to patients. Reviews physicians' orders for accuracy and authorization prior to implementing them. Prescribes and initiates nursing treatment through direct, assisted, or delegation to other staff.

Additional Department Summary: This position will be assigned to University Medical Center clinic locations in Livingston, AL and Demopolis, AL.

Provides direct patient care activities to the highest degree of their licensure. Partners with clinical staff and providers to ensure academic and clinical experience for medical students, residents, and other learners prepares them for success in post-education endeavors. Partners with CCHS enterprise services (including Health Informatics, Medical Billing, Medical Records and others) to ensure patient billing and documentation are complete, accurate, and follow all HIPPA and other regulatory requirements. Uniforms provided and licenses reimbursed.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Active state of Alabama RN license in good standing. Must have a current CPR certification and have used an electronic health record system in a previous learning or employed role.

Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform patient care as directed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or other qualified medical professional. Efficient and accurate computer and data entry skills. Excellent communication, public relations, customer service, and telephone etiquette skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment. Desire to exemplify the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient/staff interactions. Willingness to learn and consistently deliver patient-centered, high-quality customer service. Ability to maintain strict confidentially of protected health information and follow HIPAA regulations at all times. Punctual and reliable. Ability to work extended hours as needed during busier clinic times.
