Azure Cloud Architect

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you'll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We're looking for someone like you to help.

You'll closely collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in Azure to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You'll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal Azure labs, you'll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our client's problems, and you'll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you'll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with administering Azure cloud environments doing work, including coordinating cloud migrations, upgrades, or sustainment activities

  • 3+ years of experience with monitoring and optimizing Azure services for cost-effectiveness and resource utilization while ensuring optimal performance and reliability

  • Experience with seamlessly integrating security, development, and operations using techniques, including Agile Transformation and Modernization and low-code/no-code (LC/NC) Solutions

  • Ability to train non-technical audiences on technical concepts, including SAFe, Gitlab, Maven, and Containers

  • Ability to maintain documentation and training materials for Azure services and best practices

  • Secret clearance

  • Associate's degree

  • DoD 8140 IAT II or III Certification, including Security+, CASP+, or CISSP Certification

  • Intermediate or Advanced Azure Certification, including Azure Solutions Architect Associate or Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert, or Security Engineer Associate Certification

Nice if You Have:

  • Experience with training non-technical audiences on technical concepts, including SAFe, Gitlab, Maven, and Containers

  • Experience with maintaining documentation and training materials for Azure services and best practices

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
