WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Fors Marsh is seeking an intelligent and motivated Research Analyst to join the Military Personnel & Family Research team. This individual's primary responsibility will be to support surveys and other research efforts for Government clients, with a focus on providing survey operations support and conducting quality control checks throughout the survey lifecycle. This job is best suited for an individual who enjoys survey research, possesses excellent attention to detail, continuously strives to learn and develop, and prefers working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:


  • Assist with the development, implementation, and analysis of large-scale tracking surveys examining topics such as retention, financial readiness, and the well-being of military members and their spouses.
  • Provide survey operations support by preparing a survey for fielding, monitoring the survey during the field period, preparing the dataset for analysis, processing data using standard tools, and documenting survey administration details.
  • Conduct quality control checks throughout the survey lifecycle on survey instruments, datasets, processed data, and final products.
  • Work with large datasets, to include running frequencies and calculating descriptive statistics, managing datasets and documentation, conducting data cleaning, recoding variables for analysis, and performing other dataset manipulations as needed.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality control for yourself and others.
  • Balance concurrent tasks, schedules, and deliverables to meet large project goals and objectives.
  • Support ad hoc supplemental analyses and troubleshooting related to survey administration, email campaigns, and survey operations.
  • Work in a client-facing environment that can include tight deadlines to fulfill client and sponsor requests.
  • Assist in preparing written reports, infographics, and professional briefings that summarize research findings with the appropriate audience in mind.
  • Conduct ad hoc univariate and multivariate analyses to support a variety of research projects as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in social science, statistics, or related field required.
  • Two years of academic or professional research experience preferred.
  • Strong quantitative ability, keen eye for accuracy, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision and as a team member.
  • Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel and at least one statistical analysis software package (e.g., SPSS, STATA, SAS, R).
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to create presentation slides.
  • Applicants must be comfortable working with topics such as suicidal ideations.
  • Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.
