Your RoleBaxter is seeking an experienced commercial attorney to join the legal team supporting Baxter's Front Line Care (FLC) organization. FLC is focused on global commercialization including sales/national accounts, marketing, distribution and commercial operations. The candidate will work closely with members of FLC's sales, marketing and commercial teams, including Vice President, Senior Director and Director level members. Primary responsibilities will include preparing and negotiating a variety of customer, distributor and GPO agreements and providing strategic legal counseling concerning sales and marketing activities in the context of applicable regulatory requirements, including fraud and abuse laws, FDA regulations, and antitrust laws. The role will also regularly interact with development teams on new products, including negotiations with development partners. The successful candidate will embrace the Legal Department's Professional Standards to be a valued business attorney and a strong, collaborative team player. The successful candidate for the Senior Counsel position will be located in Deerfield, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota; or Skaneateles, New York and will report to the Associate General Counsel, US Hospital Products. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $224,000 to $280,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive.
