Clinical Administrative Coordinator - Remote MN or WI

This position is full time (40 hours/week) Sunday - Thursday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6:30am - 3:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The first 2 weeks of training is onsite. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday for all four weeks.

If you are located within Minnesota OR Wisconsin, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information.
  • Processes release of information (ROI) requests.
  • Manages requests for documentation and information.
  • Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record.
  • Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems.
  • May train and mentor co-workers.
  • Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability.
  • Work with Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of Customer Service experience within a hospital or healthcare environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to travel to 2925 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55407 for first 2 weeks of training
  • Ability to work Sunday - Thursday, 06:30AM-3:00PM



Preferred Qualifications:



  • RHIT or RHIA certification
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Experience working in a call center
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of federal and state programs that will benefit coverage for clients
  • Previous experience communicating with patients & staff with various educational & socio-economic backgrounds



Telecommuting Requirements:



  • Reside within MN or WI OR within a commutable distance to the office at 2925 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55407
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
