Summary:
The Improvement Specialist III role partners with leaders, staff and clinicians to advance the most critical initiatives in performance and quality improvement. This role will lead highly complex projects to design, develop, modify and implement healthcare delivery systems with enhanced quality, safety and value. Provides a range of consultation services to organizational leaders and department managers on the development and implementation of key strategies for creating and sustaining a high performing healthcare organization. Serves as a system-wide leader for applying performance improvement and project management theory and techniques. Mentors and leads other team members.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Associate's Degree with seven years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree with five years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with at least three years of relevant experience required. Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Formal performance improvement certification at the Black Belt level required. Project management certification and facilitation certification preferred.
  3. Experience: See "Education" Experience in relevant statistical analysis software preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of an Improvement Specialist II role.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
