We're looking for a full time, HE Production Operator
This position pays $21.46 per hour.
Fri - Sun 7:00am - 7:30pm As the Production Operator, here's the work you'll do:
* Performs various assigned work tasks in connection with the production, renovation, or destruction of ammunition. Such actions may be performed either manually or with the use of various tools, machines, or equipment. Such work tasks may include work tasks involved in the receiving, moving, unpacking, assembling, inspecting, reworking, packing out and palletizing of component parts and finished ammunition including the preparation of explosives for loading and the loading of such explosives into ammunition or the component parts thereof.
* For an employee to be classified as an HE Production Operator rather than as a Production Operator, a substantial part of the regularly assigned duties of an employee classified as an HE Production Operator must involve actual physical contact with and work with open and exposed (but not encased, enclosed or covered, either partially or fully) explosives. The physical contact with such open and exposed explosives may include the melting and pouring of such explosives, the blending of such explosives for assembling, the assembling of such open and exposed explosives into ammunition or component parts thereof.
* Follows training when work requires collecting, transporting, storing, treating, disposing and/or otherwise handling of hazardous waste and its documentation. Receives training outlined in Company's Hazardous Waste Training Program. Performs active role in application of SPC Controls, such as collecting, plotting, and/or interpreting process data, adjusting process and/or notifying appropriate personnel to effect corrective action.
* Understands and operates quality control stations on load lines to prevent the use or production of defective material resulting in maintaining high quality workmanship.
* Operates the forklift or tow motor as assigned. Performs cleanup of the work areas.
* Assures compliance with item specifications, standard inspection procedures and drawings. This role is for you if you have these skills:
* Reading and writing skills at a level normally acquired through high school education.
* Ability to understand and operate quality control stations on load lines to prevent use or production of defective material resulting in maintaining high quality workmanship.
* Ability to understand item specifications, standard inspection procedures and drawings.
* Visual acuity to inspect work in process for defects such as cracks, holes, dents, burrs, pits, or any other defect that might be classified as poor workmanship. And if you have these qualifications:
* High School or equivalent.
* General ammunition work experience.
