See Table 37B: Represented Project Scientists Series, Fiscal Year Duties : Successful candidates will be expected to publish results in scientific journals and present results at national and international meetings. Qualifications : The candidate must hold a PhD in a biophysics or biology-related field and additional training in mechanobiology, with a focus on cellular and tissue mechanical properties. The candidate must have at least three years of research experience beyond the PhD, with demonstrated ability to conduct and publish high-level research on cellular mechanobiology and tool development for cellular mechanobiology. Familiarity with issues pertaining to cell culture, manipulation of cell mechanical properties, as well as general lab maintenance is strongly desired. Extensive knowledge and expertise with mechanical measurements of cells and tissues, including atomic force microscopy and nanoindentation, microscopy, data analysis, writing software, and data visualization are required.
