Job Description Summary Research Collaborations (RC) is a centralized core unit within In vivo Science & Technology (IST), Comparative Medicine (CM). RC is responsible for performing best-in-class in-vivo studies together with developing key animal models and cutting-edge technologies needed for Biomedical Research (BR) drug discovery and development process. Together with animal well-being 3Rs practices within CM, RC brings high quality animal expertise, collaborating with BR Disease/Functional Areas for executing studies and developing animal models and innovative in vivo technologies.RC is looking for a highly experienced Senior Scientist I or Senior Scientist II with expertise in novel animal model development and their applications for various disease area targets. The candidate should have a strong in vivo scientific background and experience to applications with planning, designing, coordinating, and performing in vivo experiments for drug discovery and development. Additional expertise with applications for in vivo imaging systems, and other cutting-edge technology application is highly desirable. This candidate will require to work in a team environment, coordinating with BR's scientific projects in a collaborative matrix organization. Our in vivo research work at BR helps to discover and develop therapeutics for patients' unmet medical need. The final level & title of the offer role would be determined by the hiring team based on the skills; experience & capabilities required to perform the role at the level the role has been offered (Senior Scientist I /Senior Scientist II) Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $93,800- $174,200/year for Senior Scientist I and between $103,600-$192,400/year for Senior Scientist II; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
