This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan , which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: January 7, 2025 Next review date: Friday, Jan 31, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Mar 31, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Ahmanson Translational Theranostics Division of the Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is currently recruiting an attending physician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to serve in the nuclear medicine clinic of the Ronald Reagan Hospital and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. The candidate must hold an M.D. degree and is expected to contribute significantly to the clinical service and the clinical and translational research programs in molecular imaging and therapy. The candidate must be boarded in nuclear medicine. Training experience in clinical therapeutic nuclear medicine applications is desirable. Receptor-based imaging training (prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors) is a condition for appointment. Clinical research experience is highly desirable. The Ahmanson Translational Theranostics Division operates six state of the art PET/CT systems, two SPECT/CT systems and five SPECT cameras covering a multi-site operation. The Division has opened an outpatient theranostics center to treat patients with prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumors and thyroid cancer. It is well-integrated in the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Departments of Urology, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Medicine, Surgery and others.
