Job Summary

Working as the Regional Controller, you will be responsible for all regional financial activities, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. This position supports the Regional Vice President and plays a critical role in providing financial reporting and support for unit and district leadership within the region. This role is located in Michigan but can be remote within Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting and forecasting.
* Build trust with the Regional Vice President and Area Directors to maximize profitability and achieve budget targets.
* Work closely with on-site operations teams to be the expert in financial reporting including, but not limited to, monthly and fiscal close, internal/external audit reporting, inventory management, and company financial systems.
* Analyze and maintain monthly P&L's and balance sheet activity for the region.
* Identify gaps in the financial health of the operations and partner with the Division Controller to problem solve.
* Act as a liaison between the field operators and corporate partners to ensure seamless transactions.
* Partner with the Regional Vice President and Area Directors to identify and act upon financial risks and opportunities within the region.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Accounting or Finance preferred.
* Three to five years of finance and/or accounting experience; experience in a K-12 education setting is preferred
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and contracts
* Ability to effectively communicate and present information
* Advanced proficiency with software packages including Excel and Word
* Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
* 10%-20% travel required in this position
