Application Window Open date: January 10, 2025 Next review date: Friday, Jan 24, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Mar 10, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description AAPI Data, a research team based at the Asian American Research Center and part of the Institute for the Study of Societal Issues at UC Berkeley, seeks a postdoctoral fellow. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research under the supervision of Dr. Karthick Ramakrishnan, Founder and Executive Director of AAPI Data. The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to AAPI Data's work in strengthening the relevance of social science and/or policy research to academic audiences at Berkeley and beyond. Non-academic audiences include community-based organizations, government agencies, and news outlets. Ideal candidates are scholars working on projects that highlight the needs and experiences of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) populations, particularly on the disparities, barriers, or challenges faced by low-income, immigrant, or otherwise underserved populations. Key research areas of focus for the AAPI Data team include public opinion, civic engagement, hate crimes/discrimination, language access, data disaggregation and data policy.
