Job Summary The role involves organizing, updating, and maintaining program records, files, and equipment for the Fire Science Program. Essential Functions 25% - Serves as a program liaison providing process and procedural coordination and support; provides basic coordination and oversight of an assigned program; responds to inquiries and solves problems in accordance with policies and procedures 25% - Maintain equipment inspection logs, maintenance records, and inventory; monitors and ensures compliance with policies and procedures 25% - Prepares, processes and/or reconciles transactions, forms, paperwork and/or system data; performs basic research and preliminary analysis related to program assignment; gathers pertinent information and compiles, analyzes and summarizes data and information 20% - Plans, organizes, and assigns the work of staff if serving as a lead worker; plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates the work of staff if assigned supervision; assists with training as assigned 5% - Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and one year of experience in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Experience In the Fire Service field B. Experience working with SCBA's (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) C. Experience with creating Purchase Orders D. Experience in a Fire Service Training Academy E. Experience in Developing Procedures while adhering to compliance and regulations F. Experience in analyzing Data to make informed decisions G. Experience in leading a team Special Working Conditions
