As the Director, HCP Marketing, Trelegy you will be responsible for the development and execution of Healthcare Professional (HCP) marketing strategy and tactics for Trelegy, an inhaled respiratory medicine indicated for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and for adult asthma.

Key areas of emphasis for this role include HCP strategy and campaigns, HCP promotion, and development of resources for field representatives. This individual will lead and work collaboratively across the commercial team and will play a critical role in integrating the execution of the marketing plan across multiple customer segments and indications. You will work in close partnership with the global brand team, cross-functional matrix teams (including CI, finance, market access, and medical) and the copy approval team. This role also has direct reports who execute tactics according to the campaigns outlined in the marketing plan.

This position will require strong leadership in many areas, including clinical and business acumen, leading commercial strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. The incumbent will have the opportunity to build on many marketing competencies, with a focus on Customer Segmentation, Problem Statement Formation and Analysis, Brand Strategy, and Campaign Planning. Additionally, it will be expected that you can coach your direct reports to the marketing capability framework.

The specific accountabilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate development and execution of HCP brand promotional plan and programs ensuring consistency with our strategic plan
  • Define customer insights, journeys, and segmentation; product positioning; creative strategy, core messaging and content plans; integrated, cross channel promotional mix.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of disease and competitive marketplace
  • Define KPIs and reporting and use them to analyze impact and performance of key commercial programs on an ongoing basis.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements while maintaining marketing effectiveness.
  • Cultivate relationships with field force and external customers, develop deep market insights, and customize commercial strategies across various customer segments.
  • Provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage partner agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets
  • Foster an environment of innovation, inclusion, challenge, trust, and development.
Why you? Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, balanced with strong operational experience.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of US Pharmaceutical channel, pricing, and market access strategies
  • BS/BA with 8 years commercial experience within marketing, commercial analytics, market access, operations, or sales or sales training.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in US pharmaceutical/biotech in-line brand marketing.
  • Minimum of 2 days per week in office required in either Durham, NC or Philadelphia, PA.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestic travel.
Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Previous people leadership experience.
  • Experience in Respiratory or other primary care chronic disease experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow products and gain market share, especially utilizing innovative go to market approaches.
  • Broad experience across two or more of the following functional areas: marketing, commercial analytics, market access, operations, sales or sales training.
  • Broad experience in the following business skills: brand lifecycle management, senior leader engagement, matrix team leadership, budget management & P&L ownership
