Logistics Operations Specialist

Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract (1 year with possible extension)

Overview:

Join our Logistics Operations team as a Logistics Operations Specialist and play a critical role in coordinating transportation and warehousing activities to ensure the smooth movement of materials. You'll collaborate with contract manufacturers, external warehouse partners, and internal teams to execute shipments and maintain SAP system accuracy. Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipment requests with third-party warehouses.
  • Schedule and manage shipments with carriers and external partners.
  • Monitor shipments in transit, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.
  • Execute material movements in partnership with logistics teams at sending and receiving sites.
  • Collect and maintain shipment temperature data per SOPs, alerting management to any excursions.
  • Work with Trade Compliance to ensure accurate import/export documentation for international shipments.
  • Support inventory activities such as cycle counts and adjustments at external warehouses.
  • Manage SAP transactions, including stock transfer orders (STO) and shipment documentation.
  • Complete internal training modules and adhere to SOPs for GDP and GMP-related transport activities.
  • Represent the Logistics Operations team in assigned meetings and projects.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, inventory control, materials management, or supply chain (GMP experience preferred).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Familiarity with SAP or equivalent systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop relationships across global vendors and internal teams.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 5-10% to visit partner locations.
