Job Title: PET Blow Molding Supervisor




Overview:

The PET Blow Molding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operation of PET blow molding machines, ensuring efficient production of high-quality plastic containers. This role demands in-depth expertise in blow molding processes, machinery setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and production optimization. The position involves managing a team of three Blow Mold Technicians across three shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Blow Molding Operations



  • Operate, adjust, change over, maintain, and oversee PET blow molding machines to produce plastic containers that meet quality and production standards.


2. Staff Management



  • Supervise a team of three Blow Mold Technicians, ensuring optimal team performance across all shifts.


3. Machine Setup & Calibration



  • Set up and calibrate blow mold machines based on specific production requirements.
  • Optimize molds, temperature settings, and other parameters for each production run.


4. Troubleshooting & Maintenance



  • Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Establish and perform preventive maintenance to ensure machine efficiency and longevity.


5. Quality Control



  • Monitor and inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machines or processes to uphold quality standards.


6. Process Optimization



  • Analyze and enhance production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and boost overall product quality.


7. Safety & Compliance



  • Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Foster a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines.


8. Training & Mentorship



  • Train machine operators and production staff on proper machine operation, maintenance, and safety practices.


9. Documentation & Reporting



  • Maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance schedules, production logs, and quality control reports.


Qualifications:

Experience:



  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in PET blow molding operations.


Technical Knowledge:



  • Expertise in blow molding machines such as Sidel, Kosme, Krones, Aoki, or similar equipment.
  • Deep understanding of tooling and process parameters.


Skills & Competencies:



  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and precision.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and mentorship.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift up to [insert weight] pounds.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods in a production environment.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced certification in plastic or blow molding operations.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
