Position Summary
The Cloud Architect is an EXPERT in all areas of Cloud infrastructure technologies (including Microsoft Azure) and is either an EXPERT or HIGHLY SKILLED in many other Microsoft based technologies and related Intel based technologies. This person is responsible for technical solution architecture. Leads highly complex technical projects and participates as the technology expert on major business projects. Authority to make technology and strategy decisions in the various areas of responsibility. This position requires a high degree of knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in all areas of IT, including but not limited to infrastructure, cloud, networking, and security, storage, and data technologies. This position will have a heavy emphasis on developing modern and new solutions in a multi-cloud environment, including Microsoft Azure. This includes technical design, implementation, documentation, cost control, migration, and support. The Cloud Architect will need to be able to work directly with Business Process Owners to understand functional requirements and scope out a solution that may include new cloud-based services. This person will be expected to be a leader in a diverse global team of architects, engineers, developers, DBA's who are all at different stages of their career and skill levels; they should also show strong ownership capacity and be able execute projects from start to finish, including knowledge transfer and documentation. Interaction with different business groups is vital within this role and requires an understanding of multiple business segments and IT's impact on their functions (e.g., Healthcare, Life Science and Contract Sterilization, finance, regulatory and audit). Professionalism and cooperation when working with customers, team members and management is essential for success in this role. *This position is located onsite in Mentor, Ohio with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. What you will do as a Microsoft Systems Architect:
Architecture, Design, Develop and Configure Systems - 75% * Develops, designs, configures, and implements highly complex I.T. technology solutions. Project Leadership and Management - 20% * Develops and maintains IT strategy and ensure they align consistently with the STERIS plan. Technical Support, System Administration and Maintenance - 5% * Provides technical support to I.T. systems. Skills/ Business Competencies Required:

* A bachelor's degree is required in the relevant field. * At least five years' experience is required in: * At least two years of experience is required in Cloud Administration using Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions. * At least ten years of full time experience or equivalent on the job training required.
