Responsible for providing specialized support to gynecologists and other healthcare professionals during hysteroscopy procedures. This role involves assisting in patient preparation, coordinating equipment setup, and ensuring a smooth flow of the procedure.

Essential Functions
-Greet and reassure patients, explaining the hysteroscopy procedure, its purpose, and what to expect.

-Prepare and organize hysteroscopic instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for the procedure.

-Pass instruments and equipment to the gynecologist as needed during the hysteroscopy procedure.

-Monitor patients' well-being and assist with their comfort throughout the procedure.

-Monitor patients' vital signs and communicate any changes to the medical team.

-Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate in the patient's medical record.

-Collaborate closely with the medical team, nurses, and other assistants to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Medical Assisting required

Licenses and Credentials
Medical Assistant Certificate Required (AMA, CCMA)

Experience
Medical Assisting Experience 2-3 years required and Gynecology Experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic understanding of hysteroscopy procedures, medical terminology, and sterile technique.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, medical professionals, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to prepare equipment, manage supplies, and assist with procedure setup.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and respond effectively to changing circumstances.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and records.
