JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Network Epic Application Analyst provides support and maintenance of the software used in business office spaces across the UVM Health Network. The individual is responsible for developing expertise in the use of the electronic health record. Responsibilities include working with end-users, vendors and internal Information Services technical staff supporting business/clinical processes and facilitating cohesive integration of software applications from our vendors with business and clinical operations.

The Network Epic team provides support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Compensated on-call coverage (rotational) may become a part of job responsibilities, depending on level of autonomy/understanding of our application(s). This role is available for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, with the possibility of travel to our South Burlington, VT offices 1-2 times per year.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree or formal technical training or equivalent IT / healthcare experience.
  • Epic certification required or achieved within 120 days of hire with a maximum of three attempts. (Please note: Applicants who do not hold current Epic certification will be required to take the Epic Certification Readiness Assessment as a step in our application process. This helps determine one's aptitude and likelihood of obtaining necessary certifications to perform the role of an Epic Applications Analyst).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Current Epic certifications in some of the following is strongly preferred: Hospital Billing, Claims and Remits, Charge Router, Home Health Billing or Hospice Billing
  • Operational support/experience in relevant Epic modules in lieu of Epic Certification(s) or analyst experience may be considered.

The role of Applications Analyst includes multiple levels. The hiring team reserves the right to determine appropriate level placement of our final candidate. Level and salary upon hiring are commensurate with years of relevant experience previously obtained Epic Certification(s).
