Description Acara Solutions client in the Aerospace and Defense industry is looking for a Principal C++ Engineer to join their team!
Location: San Diego, CA (100% onsite)
Duration: 6 Months (possibility to convert to FTE)
Job Summary: Works independently and acts as technical consultant on complex software engineering assignments. Provides technical guidance and leadership for assigned task.
This position typically works under limited supervision and direction of the software project engineer.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
. Participates in the design, development, planning, modification and testing of application software (C++) running on Windows 10 and embedded Linux.
* Collaborates with Integration and Test (I&T) team members to address SW issues. * Performs complex analysis of SW issues and determines a solution in a timely manner.
* Prepares design specifications, analyses, and recommendations. * Engages with SW team members in root cause analysis of issues found during integration and testing.
* Participates in the design, development, planning, modification and/or improvement of software operational systems. * Research design concepts and feasibility utilizing advanced technical theory and knowledge. * Recommends test control, strategies, apparatus and equipment. * Prepares development software, codes software and designs specific enhancements. * Participate and conducts in-house design reviews and technical meetings. * Compliance with the software engineering processes, and supports the execution of them * Assumes additional technical responsibilities as needed.
