Department:COM | Peds Dennis Development CenterDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Psychological Examiner administers, scores, and interprets psychological evaluations with children and adolescents with complex developmental and behavioral issues including, but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders, Genetic Syndromes, Developmental Delays, Learning Impairments, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Intellectual Disability. The primary purpose is to evaluate and arrive at an appropriate diagnosis, make recommendations to assist in obtaining appropriate services, and to assist with treatment planning and coordinating follow-up needs. The services are provided on an outpatient basis to provide community-based providers (school, home, physicians, and therapists) with information related to the child's overall functioning. The Psychological Examiner will work under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist until they have been granted Independent status by the Arkansas Psychology Board and have been cleared for independent work at the Dennis Developmental Center (DDC) by the Pediatric Psychology Section Chief and the Medical Director for the DDC.
