Manheim's auto auction business employs thousands of employees across multiple functions. The workforce analytics team strives to more effectively plan this labor and ensure it is used efficiently. The data analyst II role will provide technical expertise and analytical support for this team to influence future resource planning improvements.

What You'll Do

  • Constructs production planning models to assist leadership with real-time and strategic capacity management.
  • Performs data analysis and validation related to process improvement, labor efficiency and utilization.
  • Translates productivity data into meaningful insights.
  • Develops reports and data visualizations to present insights to enable decision making.
  • Collaborates with internal and industry partners to better understand demand trends and volume drivers.
  • Monitors and analyzes key metrics, and executes recurring analyses and reporting related to ongoing standardization efforts.
  • Mines and interprets data, monitors and analyzes key metrics and interprets performance and provides insight into the data and metrics generated.
  • Handles data preparation and data analysis portions of various process improvement and reporting projects.
  • Writes, maintains and/or updates queries to develop analyses in response to queries from internal customers.
  • Develops monitoring mechanisms for quality and data management purposes.
  • Coordinates data feeds and sources additional data required for analysis.
  • Employs statistical modeling and methodologies to quantify demand trends and understand cycle time variations.


What We're Looking For

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline with 2+ years of experience required in a related field, MS degree and up to 2 years of experience, or 6 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong analytical skills supported by 3+ years of work experience.
  • An outgoing analyst who can operate autonomously in a low-structure environment.
  • Ability to build and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders and boundary partners.
  • Ability to write code in SQL, Python or other programming language to query data in both internal and external databases.
  • Experience utilizing ETL tools and with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a workforce or capacity management analytical role or familiarity with related concepts.
  • Experience developing models in Excel or other modeling tools.


USD 65,500.00 - 98,300.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $65,500.00 - $98,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
