In the role of Pavement Evaluation Coordinator/EIT we'll count on you to:



  • Manage and coordinate any flexible or rigid pavement evaluation activity for the client. This will include monitoring existing pavements on the system as well as evaluations and reviews associated with ongoing construction projects and the design of future projects.
  • This individual will conduct surveys and evaluations on existing pavements, manage pre-construction pavement evaluations, manage or conduct evaluations on newly constructed pavement, and conducting surveys for Value Added Asphalt Pavement warranties. These functions also include organizing and maintaining data files for all evaluations.
  • Manage the Laser Profiler program. This includes management of operators, scheduling, and data record keeping.
  • Operate the equipment as necessary and will analyze data and generate reports.
  • Support bituminous operations with ongoing construction projects.
  • Assist with project verification, review quality control functions, review defective material evaluations; and maintain a list of areas where deficient material was left in place and monitor those locations during the life of the pavement.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal customers such as the offices of Construction, Production, Maintenance, etc.
  • Conduct training for department, consultant, and contractor personnel as necessary. There will be other related duties, as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
  • Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Pavement material background strongly desired
  • FDOT or Florida Turnpike experience

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Primavera, Scheduling Software, spreadsheets and databases
  • Interest and/or experience in the construction field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
