As the Senior Director of Brand Experience for Nestle Health Science's Lifestyle Brands - Vital Proteins, Garden of Life, Nuun, Carnation Breakfast Essentials and Solgar - you will primarily be responsible for translating commercial priorities into consumer facing strategies, plans and executions that build the brands and drive the businesses.

This critical role will help drive deeper brand relevancy and business growth through the intersection of marketing communications strategy, creative storytelling, channel media strategy (earned, owned, paid), experiential marketing, PR, influencer and creator marketing. You will work closely with internal and external partners to translate commercial priorities into consumer passions and bring to life each brand's role in key moments throughout the wellness calendar.

This role requires someone who can excel in both the traditional aspects of consumer marketing and the modern landscape of digital innovation, creator economy, social commerce, and community building on a portfolio scale. This includes leading the team in:

  • Building deep insights into our most relevant customer groups, their lifestyle triggers and journey
  • Understanding the "Why" of our brands and translating this to consumer motivating engagement strategies and plans
  • Simplifying and decoupling the narrative for our brands to create distinct roles within our portfolio and our consumers' lives
  • Creating immersive brand experiences across advertising, content, PR and IRL brand experiences
  • Delighting our communities of loyalists and advocates
  • Building growth momentum for brands of different sizes and trajectories

This position interacts with nearly every function within the business at a leadership level. The ideal candidate is a strong inspirational team leader who can manage multiple senior stakeholders, has a proven track record of translating business opportunity into communication strategy and execution, as well an understanding of the quickly evolving modern marketing media and creative environment. As a people leader, this candidate should also be effective at enhancing leadership and mentorship within the internal organization and managing agency relationships, demonstrating an ability to empower the teams while providing the vision for growing future Brand relevance, equity, and share.

Strategy & Execution:

  • Brand Purpose and Positioning: Partner with the VP of Marketing and Brand Management leads to codify each brand's distinct purpose, positioning and expression strategy (Brand World, Tone of Voice)
  • Annual Planning: Lead the translation of business needs into a comprehensive annual brand engagement calendar, encompassing earned, owned and paid media, brand experiences, and in coordination with retail activations to drive media to shelf connectivity; oversee annual budget allocations across the marketing communications plan to deliver on business results
  • Marketing Communications Execution: Oversee the entire brand experience through marketing communications, from brand campaigns to product launches to always on engagement through earned, owned and paid media as well as partnerships and IRL experiences.
  • Social Commerce, Culture & Community Building: Create innovative social culture and commerce strategies that resonate with distinct audiences. Build, grow, and engage a community of brand advocates, creators and influencers who share and amplify the brands' core messages.
  • Data & Analytics: Use data-driven insights to optimize and measure campaigns, enhance experiences, and make informed marketing decisions. Implement a framework for continuous improvement using advanced analytics, measuring performance, engagement, and ROI.
  • Technology Innovation: Innovate with new technologies to further enhance the consumer experience and marketing effectiveness.
  • Creator and Content Marketing: Develop and execute a content strategy that tells the Brands' story. Create meaningful, authentic, and relevant content that resonates with our community and positions our brands as a leaders within their relative spaces.

People Management:

  • Partnership Marketing: Create strategic collaborations that tap into the people, places and things that can co-build equity and enhance cultural relevancy
  • Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing, cross-functional marketing team that is agile, data-driven, and creatively impactful. Foster a culture that encourages collaboration, experimentation, progress over perfection. Engage with internal creative and external agency partners in a way that elevates creative execution.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements

  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven ability and experience growing wellness centric brands
  • Passion for bold and disruptive thinking, innovation, and lifestyle brand activation without sacrificing performance.

Requirements:

  • 10 - 15 years of progressive marketing leadership experience in the wellness or consumer goods industry, with a track record of building lifestyle brands.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and ability to articulate brand direction and downstream execution in a succinct and engaging manner.
  • Deep understanding of classical brand marketing principles, paired with experience in modern digital marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of the media landscape and how modern brands engage at scale
  • Digital native with expertise in social trends, influencer strategies, and community building.
  • Experience in applying data analytics to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for brand storytelling and an analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Proven inspirational leadership skills with a builder mindset and experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is $230,000 to $260,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
