Position Summary: In coordination with departmental leadership, implements programs and services consistent with the Mission of LBMMC and MCWHLB. Knowledgeable of the strategic, financial, marketing, and customer business plans for perioperative services and interventional radiology with both local and corporate support staff. Supports the roles of Executive Director, Medical Director, and Department Directors/Managers. Responsible for clinical outcomes and services in an efficient and fiscally resilient manner within assigned areas of responsibility.

Essential Job outcomes and Functions:

  • Acts as program coordinator for perioperative services and interventional radiology. Coordinates and manages applicable governance committees, and projects as designated within department.
    Identifies and directly confronts issues which affect the quality of service. Collaborates with leadership, physicians, and outside departments to resolve issues. Participates in implementing tactics for the business plan.
  • Participates in the annual and long-term business planning process. Identifies ideas and insights into clinical improvements to generate new business for department. Participates/facilitates development of Perioperative Services through active facilitation of meetings and committees relevant to business development. Makes recommendations based on understanding of case mix, volume, procedural specialties, and procedural processes.
  • Utilizes collaborative communication techniques to achieve positive outcomes in all interactions. Develops collaborative relationship with other departments, entities, healthcare communities, and agencies to facilitate and support quality services. Uses communication strategies with individuals that result in achievement of intended outcomes. Facilitates the integration of appropriate personnel into teams and committees.
  • Contributes to program and project designs. Manages the change process. Prepares accurate and timely written reports, statistics, and other documents, as needed. Monitors and assures local, state, and federal changes are monitored.
  • Provides input into the program budget. Provides input regarding budget variance.
  • Sources and orders equipment.
  • Identifies and implements cost efficient strategies.
  • Makes recommendations for profitability improvement.
  • Supports the monitoring of the achievement of outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications/Work Experience



  • Minimum 3 years' experience in planning and overseeing various program(s) at a complex medical center with focus on perioperative services preferred. Good presentation skills preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferred.


Education/Certification:



  • High School Education/GED or equivalent required. Associate's / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
  • Lean training certificate or completion within 6 months of hire.
