Our engineers understand that each project requires knowledge of intricate construction processes to skillfully blend technical expertise with the experience of our multidisciplinary professional team. We are currently searching for a Mechanical EIT for our Pittsburgh office. The individual will be responsible for:

• Designing mechanical systems for highly integrated facilities. Perform load calculations, static pressure calculations, pump head calculations, and energy analysis.
• Develop mechanical specifications, 3D BIM modeling of systems, and mechanical equipment schedules.
• The applicant will be expected to work independently with minor guidance on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
• Position may include field investigation and mechanical inspection for projects.
• As required, the Mechanical EIT is expected to work with others, with the team, or outside of the team to complete mechanical system designs for more complex projects.

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong engineering software skills (Trane TRACE or similar, and equipment selection software).
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, organized, attention to accuracy, detail orientated, flexible, and able to work both independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.
• Ability to supervise work of Mechanical BIM/Revit Technicians, and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines.
• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
• Teachable. Willingness to be mentored by senior-level mechanical engineers.
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Up to 5 years' experience with mechanical system design.
• Position requires high verbal and written communication skills.
• Prefer proficiency with BIM/Revit.
• Interest in sustainable design a must.
• EIT or ability to obtain. Candidates hire without their EIT will be titled "Mechanical Designer", and they will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
