We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Manager, Cloud Engineering to lead our cloud engineering team at MGB. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of all major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), with proven expertise in Azure Cloud. This role is critical to ensuring the design, implementation, and management of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions that align with MGB's strategic objectives.
As the Sr. Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and oversee the delivery of cloud initiatives while ensuring adherence to industry standards and organizational goals.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in Azure Cloud (certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator preferred).

Experience
Progressive experience in digital/IT positions within relevant IT discipline.

8-10+ years required

Management/Leadership experience 3-5 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) with a focus on Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture, automation, and migration strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and governance policies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Additional Duties:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of cloud engineers, architects and operations
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation, work closely with the data center, infosec,research and experience teams
  • Define team objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Drive MGB's cloud strategy with a focus on Azure while leveraging expertise in AWS and GCP.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure to support enterprise applications, research initiatives, and business needs.
  • Ensure cloud environments are optimized for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Act as the go-to Azure Cloud expert, leading complex Azure-based projects such as infrastructure migration, automation, and hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Implement best practices for Azure resource management, security, compliance, and governance.
  • Work closely with IT leadership, business units, and research teams to align cloud initiatives with organizational priorities.
  • Partner with Infosec to ensure compliance with MGB's security and regulatory standards.
  • Support the research and experience communities by providing scalable cloud solutions.
  • Develop and maintain processes for incident management, monitoring, and optimization of cloud environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, scalability, and cost management.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate emerging cloud technologies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 10 plus cloud engineers, architects and operations
  • Attract and retain qualified talent and provide leadership development, corrective action, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with MGB Digital PMO and Human Resources to assure effective and efficient business practices
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholder to ensure cloud environments are optimized for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
