Job Description

The Electronics Repair Technician will be a part of Rockwell Automation's Lifecycle Services business focused on remanufacturing of Rockwell products. You will focus on supporting engineering teams with the design and configuration of control systems according to customer requirements. You will also participate in innovation, cost reduction, quality improvement, process documentation, and other projects. You will report to the Operations Manager and work onsite at Munster, Indiana.

Your Responsibilities:
  • You will create detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes and modifications provided by customers or engineering.

  • You will contribute design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.

  • You will check drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.

  • You will perform rework and quality testing related to components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

  • You will work with engineering regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and change documentation.

  • You will participate in technical execution of multiple projects including all stages of design and technical review.

  • You will review project hardware for compliance with applicable codes/standards and ensure personnel and machinery safety practices are implemented.

  • You will participate in standardization, cost savings, and manufacturing process improvement initiatives.

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Associate's degree in a technical field, such as automation, electronics/electrical engineering technology, drafting, or other similar programs.

  • 0+ years related experience in electrical design, including schematics and panel layouts or control systems. configuration.

  • Experience with design using auto computer aided design(ACAD) electrical and CREO.

  • Experience of control system applications

  • Knowledge of process automation in all project phases, including detail design generation, systems integration methods, testing, and on-site startup.

  • Knowledge of Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley control system platforms

  • Knowledge of codes and standards applicable to industrial control systems including the NEC, NFPA79, UL508A, and UL698.
