Location Designation:Hybrid - 3 days per week We are seeking a motivated IT Delivery Specialist to join our core enterprise technology team supporting our New York Life Strategic Businesses. This crucial role will report into the Head of IT Operations and partner with line of business CIOs to deliver on our strategic roadmap focused on increasing operational efficiencies, generating synergistic outcomes, and delivering technology enablement that generates increased earnings and enhanced customer experiences for our businesses.
The candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of our technology innovation roadmap and supporting multiple lines of business with their technology initiatives including generative AI enablement and enhanced data models, platform and ecosystem modernization, cybersecurity practices and risk management, operating models and ways of working, and IT operations efficiencies.This position requires a balance of technical expertise, business relationship management acumen, and technology delivery leadership to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
The ideal candidate should possess an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrate proficiency in engaging with both technology and business leaders within various specialized insurance businesses. Each business has unique goals and technological challenges, and this role will be focused on developing synergies and scalable solutions across our diverse insurance businesses. Key Responsibilities 1. Technology Project Delivery
- Partner with technology teams in end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, product managers, business analysts, and QA analysts to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Utilize agile or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate to manage and support project execution and drive performance.
- Facilitate workshops, standups, and status meetings to maintain alignment across teams as appropriate.
- Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, and resolve issues to maintain project momentum.
2. IT Roadmap Strategy & Support
- Maintain our multi-year, multi-business technology roadmap in alignment with our technology charter, business objectives, and stakeholder priorities.
- Monitor program progress, ensuring that risks, issues, and interdependencies between projects are addressed timely.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, tools, and templates.
- Leverage established KPIs to measure project and program success and report out to stakeholders.
3. Relationship Management
- Act as a liaison among Strategic Businesses core IT team, individual business IT team, and corporate technology team.
- Facilitate clear communication and drive collaboration among stakeholders including project kick-offs, execution progress and risk management, change management, and performance tracking.
- Prepare and present program updates and status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure project financials and benefits are clearly understood and closely tracked for performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum Master) are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience managing and delivering technology projects in Insurance / Financial Services.
- Product owner and business analyst experience are a plus
- Strong technical understanding of software development, IT infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong interest and curiosity in technology innovation, Gen AI tools, and designing more efficient ways to work.
- Expertise in tools such as Jira, MS Office 360, or similar.

Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
