Description

The Logistics Coordinator will manage arranging transportation, preparing documentation, and the tracking shipments to ensure timely order fulfillment. Collaborating with internal teams and transportation carriers, the coordinator will oversee export authorizations and customs compliance, address any shipping discrepancies, and execute shipment plans based on customer requirements. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient logistics operations and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Essential Duties



  • Coordinate all shipping activities, including arranging transportation, preparing shipping documents, and tracking shipments.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with internal team members (Customer Relations, Finance, Shipping, Sales etc.) and transportation carriers to coordinate outbound logistics.
  • Prepare and manage export authorizations, including ITAR licenses, agreements, and exemptions.
  • Prepare additional documentation as needed for shipments such as Customs documentation, special Bills of lading.
  • Ensure that all export and import documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with customer, warehouse teams, carriers to arrange pickups, delivery specifications, clear holds, and other shipping requirements.
  • Manage any shipping discrepancies or issues, collaborating with carriers and customers to resolve them.
  • Execute shipment plans within the scope of customers date requirements.
  • Attend status meetings and communicate risks to business as it related to logistics.



Essential Requirements



  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage cross-functional tasks, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.



Additional Requirements



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP) preferred.



Education & Experience Requirements



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience managing import/export shipments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HTS codes and US customs preferred.
  • 2 years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
