Accounting Department

The Accounting Department is integral to maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. Our mission is to provide accurate, timely, and relevant financial information while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the company's strategic goals. The department manages a broad range of functions, including financial reporting, treasury, forecasting, month-end close activities, financial systems, fixed assets, consolidation and campus-specific financial oversight. By maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data, we enable informed decision-making and uphold ethical standards across all financial activities. We prioritize continuous improvement in processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Our collaborative approach ensures we work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and support to drive the company's strategic objectives.

Position Overview

This role will be based in: Denver, CO and is in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

Vantage's footprint in North America is expanding and to support it, its accounting team is growing to better support its portfolio of data centers and investor fund structure. As such, Vantage is looking for an agile, resourceful and detail-oriented Manager, Investor Fund Accounting, to lead all investor fund accounting activities and to contribute to other core accounting activities.

The Manager, Investor Fund Accounting, will manage our investor capital table, coordinate capital calls from investors, manage relationships with third party service providers related to our investor funds, and assist with related core accounting activities. The Manager, Investor Fund Accounting must be able to work independently and with the highest level of accountability and trust. The ideal candidate will also be well-organized and thrive in a fast-paced and complex environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establish and maintain the Company's investment accounting function, including implementing related software.

  • Ensure the accuracy of the Company's investment accounting and reporting results.

  • Liaise with investors, law firms, and Management regarding capital calls and investment reporting.

Duties

  • Implement and maintain the Investment Accounting and Investment Manager modules in the Company's instance of the Yardi software platform.

  • Manage the investor capital table.

  • Coordinate and apply investor capital calls, including managing funds flows with Treasury.

  • Process subscriptions, redemptions, and capital calls.

  • Maintain investor records and ensure accurate allocation of income, gains, and expenses.

  • Generate investor reports, including capital account statements.

  • Ensure accurate tracking of waterfall calculations and preferred return allocations.

  • Create and maintain policy and procedure documents related to the Company's investment accounting program.

  • Assist in the month, quarter and year-end processes (including the review of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with laws, internal policies and US GAAP.

  • Assist in coordination with external auditors and internal auditors.

  • Participate in non-routine projects such as real estate and business acquisitions, debt financing transactions, etc., as needed.

  • Review and approve accounting documents per the company's workflows.

  • Promote a strong culture of cooperation within the team.

  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA designation.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a large, complex organization's Accounting/Finance team.

  • Experience with Yardi Voyager, including the Investment Accounting and Investment Manager modules required.

  • Experience in complex and multi-tiered entity environments.

  • Private equity fund experience required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many simultaneous priorities from time to time.

  • Demonstrated communication, leadership and organizational skills.

  • Facility to "roll up one's sleeves" and collaborate with process participants in solving issues.

  • Proficient in the Windows and Office 365 environment.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $135,000- $145,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
